The Georgia Tree Council is excited to announce it will host the 2026 Georgia Tree Conference in Helen on November 11-12. This annual event brings together municipal arborists, urban foresters, tree board members, community tree advocates, nonprofit organizations, and other related professionals from across the state to connect, share ideas, and expand their expertise through educational sessions, workshops, and field tours. The conference provides continuing education on arboricultural best practices, community engagement strategies, and innovations in managing community and urban forests. A highlight of the event is the Excellence in Urban Forestry Awards, which recognize organizations and individuals whose leadership, achievements, and commitment have made a lasting impact on Georgia's community forests.
